Photographer Anne de Vandière is exhibiting at the Musée de l'Homme (Paris), until January 2, 2017, a monumental installation: two large containers, black and white, metaphors for the confinement of endangered tribes. A project started 8 years ago and supported in particular by UNESCO and Survival.
Through her encounters and the attention paid to the know-how of weavers, doctors, embroiderers, ... encountered on 5 continents, in more than 45 ethnic groups and tribes, Anne de Vandière delivers an exceptional look at diversity and diversity of these peoples threatened by the march of the world. It denounces their forced displacement or the looting of their heritage and their natural resources which can gradually lead to their disappearance.
